I chose photography as my topic for my free inquiry project. I have been interested in photography since high school. I took photography courses in my senior years of high school and learned a lot of new skills. I had an amazing teacher who encouraged me and helped build my confidence. I also took a photography course during my first year at university but I found it quite challenging. Our first assignment in the class was to take 40 individual photographs that each had a different composition. It seemed as if the instructors were expecting magazine quality photos even though it was an introductory course. I felt discouraged in my photography skills after taking this course in university. After this, I took a break from photography and rarely picked up the camera. However, after taking a break for a few years, I am eager to dive into this hobby once again. I can’t wait to be documenting my journey and new skills through this blog!
